It provides the control and protection for two Voltage Regulators Dual Outputs: (VRs). The first VR, typical for V , incorporates 2 integrated core - Configurable 3-, 2- or 1-phase for the 1st Output Using Two drivers and can operate in 3-, 2- or 1-phase configurations. The Integrated Gate Drivers second VR, typical for graphics, incorporates 1 integrated - Configurable 2- or 1-phase for the 2nd Output Using One driver and can operate in 2- or 1-phase configurations. The two Integrated Gate Driver VRs share a serial control bus to communicate with the CPU and R3 Modulator achieve lower cost and smaller board area compared with the two-chip approach. - Excellent Transient Response - High Light Load Efficiency Both VRs utilize Intersils Robust Ripple Regulator R3 Technology. The R3 modulator has numerous advantages 0.5% System Accuracy Over-Temperature compared to traditional modulators, including faster transient Supports Multiple Current Sensing Methods response, variable switching frequency during load transients, - Lossless Inductor DCR Current Sensing and improved light load efficiency due to its ability to automatically change switching frequency. - Precision Resistor Current Sensing The ISL95836 has several other key features. Both outputs Differential Remote Voltage Sensing support either DCR current sensing with a single NTC Programmable V Voltage at Start-up BOOT thermistor for DCR temperature compensation, or more Resistor Programmable I , Switching Frequency for Both MAX precise resistor current sensing if desired.
