The RN-131C is a remotely operated vehicle (ROV). It is designed to be a workhorse ROV that is effective in a range of applications including hydrographic survey, light excavation/salvage operations, pipeline and cable inspection/repair, and general intervention services. It is capable of operating up to 150 meters depth, and can carry a wide range of payloads including sonars, cameras, HD video systems, acoustic and laser tracking systems, and manipulators. It is equipped with a powerful locomotion system that allows for maneuvering in currents up to1.2m/s. The controller provides efficient and powerful multimedia capabilities, and can be operated from a distance up to 500m. It also offers customizable control systems, including through-water communications and an external joystick control. The RN-131C also has an advanced power management system, with support for both high-capacity batteries and an external power supply.
