National Park
1. PM30.001-30 is a 22,000 hectare area of the Roztocze National Park in south-eastern Poland. The area has some of the oldest, most varied and biologically diverse woodlands in Central Europe, giving the area an incredibly rich array of wildlife and flora. Furthermore, the forests include some of the last true old-growth areas still intact in the region. PM30.001-30 is part of a larger natural reserve and forest complex known as the Bieszczady-Roztocze ‘green lung’, encompassing nearly 50,000 hectares in total.
2. The landscapes of the PM30.001-30 area are rich in rolling hills, vast meadows and ancient forests, as well as a diverse array of rare and endangered species. This area is home to numerous mammals, birds and amphibians, including European bison, wolves, wildcats, deer and ground squirrels. Furthermore, the forest is home to an impressively diverse array of flora, comprising several hundred different species of trees and shrubs, plus thousands of varieties of wildflowers. The area also comprises a large number of ponds, rivers and streams which make it a paradise for anglers and water enthusiasts.
