Roztocze landscape of T60.003-63 is situated in south-eastern Poland and it is part of the Roztocze National Park. The landscape is situated on the northeastern edge of the Lublin Upland and it covers the northern part of the Sandomierz Basin and the northern part of the Lublin Upland. It is a hilly region with low elevation and prominent ridges, surrounded by wooded hills and river valleys. The dominant feature of the landscape is its ancient deciduous forest, which constitutes two thirds of the total area and includes many species of trees, shrubs, and herbs. Other habitats include various types of meadows, wetlands, and cultivations. The landscape is also known for its rock formations, which are mainly sandstones and limestone and form a high relief that towers above the surrounding landscape. The hills, ridges, and valleys provide diverse habitats in which different species, including rare and endangered species, can find refuge.
