Lowland biological station
1. ST124.001 is a 19 hectare (47 acre) part of the Roztocze Lowland biological station in eastern Poland.
2. The site is part of the Roztocze National Park, located in the Roztocze Hills, close to the border with Ukraine.
3. This area is characterized by numerous small lakes, quagmires, peat bogs and fens, as well as forested areas with mainly oaks, hornbeams and ash trees. The ST124.001 section of the Biological Station is home to a large number of rare plants and animals, such as the Eurasian lynx, European bison, and the large orchid family.
