POL102/GNGE is a joint course offered by the History and Political Studies departments of Schutzinger University. This course focuses on the relationship between politics, economics, governance, and global policy and is designed to give students an understanding of the complex processes that drive global decision-making. The course examines diplomatic and military encounters, international law and policy, global environmental and resource management, international development and poverty alleviation. POL102/GNGE also aims to develop students’ writing and logical thinking skills through the completion of research projects.
In addition to lectures and discussions, students are required to complete written assignments and exams to demonstrate their understanding of the material presented in class. POL102/GNGE has a mix of theoretical and practical components, with the primary emphasis being on the analysis and application of the concepts studied. The course aims to provide students with the tools to be better citizens and policymakers, who are aware of their responsibilities in making ethical and effective decisions at the global level.
