The Grove AI H AT for Edge Computing is built around Sipeed MAix M1 AI MODULE with Kendryte
K21 0 proc essor inside. It' s a low c ost but pow erful raspberry p i AI hat w hich assists ras p berry pi
run the AI at the ed ge, it also can w ork independ en t ly for edge c omputing ap plications.
The MAi x M 1 is a pow erf u l RISCV 6 0 0MHz AI mo d ule that f ea tures dualc ore 6 4bit C P U,
23 0GMULps 16bit KPU( Neural Netw ork Processor), FPU(Float Point U nit) s upports DP& S P, and
APU(Audio Processor) supports 8 mics.
In addition t o the power f u l Ke ndryte K21 0 proc essor, the Grov e AI HA T for Edge Comp u ting board
provides a w ealth of p eri p herals: I2C / UART/SPI/ I2S/PW M/G PIO. Th e hat al so o ffers an LCD and a
camer a inter face, which supports the Sipeed 2.4i n ch QVGA LC D and DV P camera, it will be helpf ul
and con veni ence with y o u r AI vision project. Just l i ke the Sipe e d MAix BiT K i t for R ISCV A I+ Io T, we
will release t h e kit wit h a c amer a and an LCD so on. For A I voic e recognition applications, we add a
highquality microphone. And f or robot or motion applications, there is an onboard 3axi s
accelerometers sensor, which is mor e accur ate a nd easy to us e c omp ared t o extern al sensors. We h av e rel eased varies of SIPE ED A I products, we b eliev e it is time to ma k e it Gro ve an d bring all
our hundred s of grove senors and gro ve actuat ors to yo ur AI ap p lications. So here comes the Grove
AI HA T for Edge Co mputi ng. We've ad d ed 6 grove connectors t o this hat, including 1xDi gital IO,
2xA nalo g IO, 1 xI2 C , 1 xUA RT, and 1 xP W M. On top of th at, b ase d on k endryt estandalo nesdk , we
added the full ArduinoCoreAPI in t erface to suppo rt Arduino I DE, Lin ux, W i ndows, Mac O S X, an d
other de velo pment en vir onm ents. W hich means you can run Grove Arduino Libr aries and
man y excellent Arduino libraries o n th is board easi l y.
