A gas sensor (O2) often used as part of a Seeed Studio project is an air quality sensor that can be used to measure oxygen levels in the air. This type of sensor is useful for monitoring air pollution levels, carbon dioxide levels, and more. The sensor works by measuring the concentration of oxygen molecules in the ambient air as it passes over the sensing element. The sensing element is typically a metal oxide semiconductor which reacts to the oxygen molecules in the air. The reaction of the oxygen molecules with the semiconductor then creates an electrical current which can be used to calculate the amount of oxygen in the air. The data from this sensor can be used for a variety of projects including determining if a space is properly ventilated, or if there is a leak in a high pressure system.
