Grove
The Seeed Studio Grove Loudness Sensor is a module designed to measure sound levels and ambient noise. It utilizes an integrated MEMS microphone to convert sound waves into electricity, which is then processed by an onboard amplifier and converted into an analog signal. The analog signal is then fed into an analog-to-digital converter, which processes the signal and outputs a digital value. This digital signal is then accessible via a Grove compatible connector on the module, allowing it to be used with any Grove compatible device, such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi. With the included onboard potentiometer, the level of noise sensitivity can be adjusted from very sensitive to less sensitive. This makes the Grove Loudness Sensor ideal for use in projects that require precise sound measurements, such as security systems, robot navigation, and noise-canceling headphones.
