Additional Infomation About Product

Seeed Studio ULTRASONIC RANGER is a non-contact range finding device that uses ultrasonic sound waves to measure the distance from the source of the sound to the object being measured. The device emits a 40kHz sound wave that travels to the object, and then when it returns to the device it measures the time it took for the sound wave to travel and then calculates the distance between the device and the object. It can be used to measure distances from 2 cm and up to 400 cm. The ULTRASONIC RANGER has a range of 0.1° - 15° beam width and can be used in many applications such as obstacle avoidance, ultrasonic sweep, security, proximity sensing, and more.
