The P2300SB with Gas Discharge Tubes (GDTs) SMB (DO-214AA) RoHS manufactured by SEMIWARE is a surge arrest device that features a gas discharge tube (GDT), which is a hollow glass tube filled with a gas such as air, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, sulfur hexafluoride, or other. The device is also equipped with a spark gap formed by two electrodes on each end of the GDT providing a short circuit path for high voltage transients.
