SX9512/12B/13/13B 8 Capacitive Buttons, LEDs and Proximity Controller with Analog Outputs WIRELESS & SENSING PRODUCTS DATASHEET GENERAL DESCRIPTION KEY PRODUCT FEATURES The SX9512/12B and SX9513/13B are 8button Separate Core and I/O Supplies capacitive touch sensor controllers that include 8- o 2.7V 5.5V Core Supply Voltage channels of LED drivers, a buzzer and analog o 1.65V 5.5V I/O Supply Voltage outputs designed ideally for TV applications. The SX9512/12B offers proximity sensing. Support Metal Overlay UI Design (SX9512/12B) The SX9512/12B and SX9513/13B operate 8 - Button Capacitance Controller autonomously using a set of programmable button o Capacitance Offset Compensation to 40pF sensitivities & thresholds, plus LED intensities & o Adaptive Measurements For Reliable Proximity And breathing functions with no external I2C Button Detection communication required. Proximity Sensing (SX9512/12B) All devices feature three individual LED driver o High Sensitivity engines for advanced LED lighting control. On the SX9512/12B, a proximity detection illuminates all o LEDs Activated During Proximity Sense LEDs to a pre-programmed intensity. Touching a 8-channel LED Controller & Driver button will enable the corresponding LED to a pre- o Blink And Breathing Control programmed mode such as intensity, blinking or breathing. o High Current, 15 mA LED Outputs Whenever the capacitive value changes from 2-Channel Analog Output, 6-bit DAC Programmable either a proximity detection or finger Control touch/release, the controller informs the host Programmable Buzzer processor through the analog output(s) or an open 2 Simple (400kHz) I C Serial Interface drain interrupt and an I2C register read. o Interrupt Driven Communication via NIRQ Output The SX9512/12B and SX9513/13B do not require additional external dynamic programming support Power-On Reset, NRST Pin and Soft Reset or setting of parameters and will adapt to humidity Low Power and temperature changes to guarantee correct o Sleep, Proximity Sensing: 330uA touch/no touch information. o Operating: 600uA The B versions have a different pre-programmed -40C to +85C Operation I2C address. 4.0 mm x 4.0 mm, 20-lead QFN package The SX9512/12B and SX9513/13B are offered in 4.4 mm x 7.8 mm, 24-lead TSSOP package 20-ld QFN and 24-ld TSSOP packages and operate over an ambient temperature range of -40C to Pb & Halogen free, RoHS/WEEE compliant +85C.
