The Sensopart FR 18-2 I-PS-K4 is a fiber-optic reflective sensor designed for high-precision distance measurements, and for mounting in extremely tight spaces. It features a 1,024-pixel CMOS array that can detect objects from 0.1 to 18 mm away, with a resolution range of 0.02 mm throughout its entire sensing range. The sensor is designed for fast response times, with a switching frequency of 1 kHz and a reaction time of just 15 ms. It is highly shock and vibration resistant, with a robust PBT housing and flexible protective cable that can withstand up to 4500 chips. The FR 18-2 I-PS-K4 also offers a variety of customization options, including selectable lighting colors, polarity, and switching outputs, as well as a built-in background suppression function.
