SERPAC is an organization that provides support and resources to the National Park Service (NPS). It is composed of 61 member parks that span across the United States. Each park is managed by the NPS division. SERPAC supports parks in a variety of ways, including: 1) by providing technical, educational, and operational information and advice; 2) coordinating park operations and activities; 3) providing a forum for parks to collaborate and share best practices; 4) advocating for increased funding and support of national parks; 5) encouraging involvement and stewardship of parks, and 6) promoting public understanding and appreciation of the natural and cultural resources within parks. The individual parks in SERPAC encompass a variety of types of locations - national parks, historic sites, recreation areas, monuments, seashores, battlefields, and more. Each park offers visitors a unique experience, whether it be through touring cultural sites, exploring natural wonders, or observing wildlife in their habitat.
