AMS1117-2.5 Shikues

The AMS1117-2.5 with is a SOT-223 RoHS manufactured by Shikues. It is an Low Dropout Regulator (LDO) and provides a cost-effective and efficient source of power regulation for many applications. The device is a linear regulator that stabilizes the output voltage through the use of a voltage reference and a PNP pass element. Output voltage is factory set at 2.5V and is fully adjustable. It can provide up to 800 mA of current. It has a low dropout voltage of only 500 mV, which enables it to be used in applications where power supply and load margins are extremely limited. The device has excellent line and load regulation characteristics, as well as a very low output noise and good transient response. The integrated over current protection provides exceptional protection for the LDO, and the over temperature protection allows the device to shut off whenever the temperature exceeds the prescribed safety limits. The AMS1117-2.5 also exhibits high power supply rejection and is very small, making it ideal for high-density board layouts.
