The WL280-2N4331 is a Sensor manufactured by Sick that has a photoelectric sensor, a range of 0.01÷12m, and operates in a NPN configuration with a DARK-ON, LIGHT-ON function. The photoelectric sensor works by detecting changes in the intensity of light, emitting an electrical signal that can then be used to turn on or off an external device. It is wired to an integrated amplifier with an output switching function that is switched by the detection of an object. The range is adjustable from 0.01 meters to 12 meters, allowing for a wide range of applications. The NPN output circuit allows for a negative going output with a DARK-ON, LIGHT-ON switching mode. This means that an output signal is generated when an object is detected in a DARK zone and the output is turned off when the object is located in the LIGHT zone.
