The SIT3490ESA is an RS-485/RS-422 IC produced by SIT in a surface-mount package (SO-8) with RoHS compliant lead-fre solderability. It is designed to provide a robust, low-jitter, full-duplex, differential bus for communication between devices. The device supports high-speed serial data transmission at up to 1Mbps, as well as high-speed master/slave selectable operation. It features on-board ± 15kV ESD protection, as well as power-on reset and short-circuit protection. Additionally, the device provides programmable slew rate control for improved EMI performance and immunity to interference.
