It has an operating voltage of up to 15V and is designed to improve charge and discharge performance, reduce system power consumption, and provide flexibility when working with multiple battery technologies. The device features over- temperature, short-circuit current limit, over-voltage, under-voltage, and over-charge protection as well as integrated battery short detection. It also provides other features such as active voltage droop, voltage and current regulation, and cell balancing/balancing functions. It is also capable of delivering up to 5A of continuous output current.
