The CM-22/S is an SR passive that provides a highly reliable discrete diode-network for the protection of parallel-connected line cards. It utilizes beveled tips for easier installation and is designed for use in SR-level applications. Its large anode surface area provides superior thermal performance and its low turn-on and turn-off voltage thresholds make it suitable for protecting sensitive, low voltage circuits. The CM-22/S also features an additional anode, which improves the protection capability of the device. The 2-pole device is configured as a shunting element, providing efficient protection against reverse-polarity overvoltages, allowing the device to be used in applications requiring reverse-polarity or phase-reversed lines.
