CY2P-680P is a surface-mount passive component that is part of SR Passives' range of circuit protection devices. It is a surface-mount varistor designed to protect circuits and equipment from AC, DC and transient overvoltage, within the 0.1MHz ~ 100MHz range. It features a ceramic construction and good performance, requiring only a small amount of soldering. It has two leads for surface-mount installation, a polarity pin for proper orientation, and a high rate of power dissipation. Its surface mount package size also allows for comfortable installation in small spaces.
