MPEM-680NR7.5/100 is a type of surface-mount passive component manufactured by SR Passives. It is a non-resettable polyswitch and it is designed to provide over-current protection. It is a miniature circuit breaker that limits the flow of current in order to protect other devices or components. TheMPEM-680NR7.5/100 has a rated current of 7.5A and a hold current of 100mA, meaning that it will allow current up to 7.5A to flow until a current higher than 100mA is detected, at which point the breaker trips, opening the circuit.
