Hall
Starrett Hall is located in the heart of the campus of the University of Oklahoma and is the oldest building on campus. Built in 1901 and named for OU's first president, William B. Starrett, the building has housed generations of OU students and faculty, including two presidents of the United States.
Over the years Starrett Hall has gone through many renovations, updates and expansions. The building displays classic Georgian Revival architecture and is home to many different departments, labs and other organizations associated with the university. The east wing of Starrett Hall contains Annie's Room, a memorial room with artifacts and memorabilia dedicated to OU's first woman student body president, Annie McIntosh.
The most recognizable feature of Starrett Hall is its central clock tower, standing at a towering 135 feet high. The clock tower contains 4 faces, and is a familiar sight to students and faculty on campus. In 2019 the university began a process to restore the clock tower, ensuring that it will be a part of the campus for many more years to come.
