The L9822EPD with Power Switch ICs - Power Distribution Octal Ser Solenoid is an IC manufactured by STMicroelectronics. It is a high-performance switch specifically designed for monitoring and controlling a high-current solenoid drive application. It is suitable for automotive and industrial solenoid drive applications. The L9822EPD has eight channels of independent outputs, allowing each channel to be independently activated. Each output is configured with an ultra-low resistance MOSFET, which provides up to 0.5A of current drive per channel. It also incorporates an internal linear regulator, N-channel MOSFET and digital logic control, making it suitable for both mid- and low-voltage operation. In addition, it provides diagnostics and error reporting, programmable fault detection levels, and thermal protection.
