The LD1117S12TR is an SOT-223 linear voltage regulator Integrated Circuit (IC) from STMicroelectronics. This device is a member of the LD1117 series of positive, fixed output voltage regulators capable of supplying up to 800mA of output current. The output voltage of this device is a fixed 12V, making it suitable for applications such as power supplies and post-regulators for switching power supplies. The device features two layers of over-temperature and over-current protection, as well as thermal shutdown protection and current limit protection to ensure reliability and minimize the risk of damage to the system. The device operates with an input voltage from 4.5V to 18V, making it suitable for a wide variety of applications. The device features a low quiescent current of only 15µA, enabling efficient power management. In addition, the IC has an ultra-low dropout voltage, making it efficient for direct 3.3V and 5V input supplies.
