The LDL1117S12R is a high PSRR low dropout linear voltage regulator manufactured by STMicroelectronics. It is designed to provide output voltage stability and ripple rejection in circuit designs that require moderate output current up to 1.2 A. This low dropout voltage regulator features output voltage ranges from 0.8V to 5.0V, with an adjustable operating current of 100mA to 1.2A. The input voltage range of the device is up to 12 V and its features include an input range of 2V to 18V, a very low quiescent current of 4.2 mA and a low dropout voltage of a maximum of 90 mV for loads of up to 1.2 A. Additionally, it has a very fast transient response, with a 10µs On time. The device is well suited to regulating the power supply of high complexity switching mode power supplies, microcontrollers, digital-signal processors and DSPs, LCD displays, TV/VTRs, and other loads requiring voltage adjustment or buffering.
