Sumida's H-ML-2 area covers the eastern part of the city, stretching from the Sumida River to the Arakawa River. This area is bordered by Asakusa to the north, Kiyosumi Shirakawa to the east and the Chuo Line to the south. It includes several residential neighborhoods, as well as numerous business and shopping districts.
The highlights of this part of Sumida include the Sumida Riverside Cherry Blossom Festival, Edo-Tokyo Museum, Asahi Beer Tower, Rikugien Garden, and the Tokyo Sky Tree. It is also home to the famous Sensoji Temple and a variety of traditional restaurants and shops. In addition, this area offers many opportunities for walking, cycling, or taking boats down the Sumida River.
