The NES-021 is part of the Tamura line of processors, which were designed to be used in consumer electronic products such as digital set-top boxes, game consoles, and digital video players. The NES-021 was the first in the series and has 8K bytes of code space. It is a 16-bit microcontroller with a 16-bit CPU and integrated hardware peripherals. It has two 8-bit I/O ports, three 16-bit timer/counter, three input trigger ports, and external interrupt capability. It also has an 8-bit programmable logic interface, a 10-bit PWM output, and two 8-bit PWM outputs. The NES-021 is an ideal processor for embedded control applications.
