RG11A/U is a plenum-rated coaxial cable that is used for voice, data, video, and broadband communications. It is a thick coaxial cable consisting of a copper clad steel center conductor and a foamed cellular polyethylene outer conductor, with a flexible PVC jacket. The RG11A/U has a low attenuation rate, allowing it to be used in longer cable runs than other coaxial cables such as RG59. It is often used for CATV, satellite, or Cable Modem applications, as well as for Route 66 computer networking and EtherNet systems.
