The CD4024BE is a 7-bit ripple-carry counter IC manufactured by Texas Instruments. It is an expandable, low power, CMOS logic counter. This IC is designed to count in binary up to a maximum of 127 steps and is suitable for low-frequency applications such as time divisions, frequency divisions and can also be used for frequency synthesis applications. It has a clock-input terminal, a reset-input terminal, and seven output terminals, which provides a maximum of 127 count outputs. The device is also packaged with Schmitt triggers on all inputs, so that it can be used for noisy input environments or slow-transitioning inputs. The CD4024BE has a power supply range of 3V to 16V, a low current consumption, and a capacity of up to 125 MHz in coax and 200 MHz in stripline applications.
