The DS90UB940TNKDRQ1 Serializers and Deserializers (Serdes) 1080p Dual FPD-Link III Deserializr is manufactured by Texas Instruments. This is an advanced, high-speed differential signaling link designed to transmit LVDS, Digital Visual Interface (DVI) signals, or DisplayPort-audio video data over a point-to-point serial link. This serial link uses 270 Mbps (13.5 Gbps aggregate) of data serialized data per lane to operate over a single unidirectional link or bi-directional link. It also has an on-chip rate select logic which allows it to detect and recover from run-time changes in data rate. The device integrates two dedicated FPD-Link III channels, each of which is immune to link noise and crosstalk, and supports dual pixel stream up to 240 Mbps (1080p30/60fps) using either one or two output lanes. Additionally, it features programmable data lane mapping, enhanced link equalization modes, built-in LCD margin correction and support for HDCP.
