The Texas Instruments ISO7041DBQR is a four-channel digital isolator developed for use in extreme industrial environments. It offers a 16-pin, surface-mounted SSOP package, allowing it to be readily integrated with existing systems. With an ATEX/IECEx certification, the isolator is designed specifically for use in hazardous locations, protecting workers and sensitive equipment from dangers due to electrical arcs, shock and temperatures outside of the component’s specified range. Furthermore, the isolator provides a typical channel-to-channel isolation voltage of 6kV, potentially reducing the impact of interferences in harsh environments. The ISO7041DBQR is designed with power efficiency in mind, consuming a maximum of 400µA of current, making it suitable for battery-powered systems. It also offers a wide voltage range of -55 to 125°C and features ultra-low propagation delays.
