The LM2575S-5.0/NOPB with Switching Voltage Regulators NRND is a monolithic integrated circuit manufactured by Texas Instruments. It is designed to provide a fixed 5-volt output at up to 1.5A of output current from an input voltage that can range anywhere between 5 volts up to 40 volts. The device is highly efficient and can support a wide variety of applications including battery-powered equipment, automotive applications, LCD backlighting, and industrial motor controllers. It features adjustable output voltage, enabling end-users to preset the output voltage via a single resistor. Other features include short-circuit protection, over-voltage protection, and thermal shutdown. This device is NRND (Not Recommended for New Designs) as it has been replaced by a newer device. The alternate device is LM2575S-5.0/NOPB.
