The LM3724IM5-3.08/NOPB is a five-pin micropressor reset circuit manufactured by Texas Instruments. This circuit integrates a set of features and technologies to provide enhanced reset functionality for microprocessor systems. The LM3724IM5-3.08/NOPB circuit has an adjustable reset threshold, automatic reset generation, reset status flag, and reset pulse width controlling capabilities all in a single package. The circuit also has a power-on-reset (POR) circuit that actively monitors the system’s power supply voltage. This allows the system to detect power faults and reset itself quickly and reliably, thus helping to prevent any potential microprocessor system errors. For improved protection against power faults, the LM3724IM5-3.08/NOPB circuit is equipped with an under-voltage lock out (UVLO) circuit. This UVLO will prevent the processor from coming on-line until the power supply is stabilized and the UVLO threshold is exceeded. Furthermore, the LM3724IM5-3.08/NOPB circuit is designed with a thermal reset circuit that monitors the temperature of the processor. When the temperature reaches unsafe levels, the reset circuit will generate an active reset signal that will protect the system from thermal damages.
