The LM5164DDAR is an 8-pin SO-PowerPAD, synchronous buck DC-DC converter with a 6V to 100V input and 1A output rating from Texas Instruments. It features an ultra-low input quiescent current (IQ), enabling the use of input power sources such as fuel cells, batteries, and super capacitors with minimized energy consumption and increased system efficiency. It has a high-frequency, fixed-frequency, and current-mode architecture for great transient response and easy compensation. It also has an adjustable output voltage range, integrated high-side MOSFET, selectable synchronous or diode rectifier, and a PGOOD flag. Protection features include cycle-by-cycle current limit, short-circuit protection, overload protection, thermal shutdown, and UVLO. The LM5164DDAR helps reduce system component count and cost, while providing excellent light-load efficiency with zero diode forward voltage drop. It is ideal for automotive, industrial, and consumer applications.
