Additional Infomation About Product

The MAX232IN is a dual EIA-232 driver/receiver IC manufactured by Texas Instruments that is designed to convert single-ended TTL/CMOS level signals to differential EIA-232 level signals and vice versa. The device consists of two drivers and two receivers, independent of each other, to allow the user to implement full-duplex serial communication over the common DB9 connector. The driver outputs have a slew rate of 0.9V/µs, and the input thresholds are TTL/DTL logic compatible. The output signals are designed for capacitively loaded cables up to 25pF, and the maximum data rate supported is 120kbps. The device also features an integrated 1µA low-power shutdown mode, allowing for hot plugging and power savings. Each circuit is protected against overvoltage and short-circuit conditions, making these devices ideal for applications where reliable data transmission is required.
