The PGA205AU is a Programmable Gain Instrumentation Amplifier manufactured by Texas Instruments. It is an integrated circuit (IC) that combines low-noise, wide-bandwidth voltage-gain instrumentation amplifier (IA) with a matching zero-crossing comparator. It features a wide gain range from 1 to 1000, a 5V to ±15V supply range, low quiescent current, and wide temperature range of -40° C to +85° C. It has a low offset voltage and good CMRR for low noise performance. The high common-mode voltage range (CMRR) of 100dB allows for a wide dynamic range, and the integrated comparator allows for utilization as interface between low voltage logic and higher voltage analog circuits. It has an adjustable output stage, which can be set up to interface with various logic levels and provides compatibility with a wide range of digital logic families. The internal auto-zero and chopper-stabilization features provide high accuracy of gain over temperature and supply variations. PGA205AU can be configured using external control bits over an I2C communication link.
