The SN74F74DR is an integrated circuit (IC) manufactured by Texas Instruments. It is a dual, positive edge-triggered D-type flip-flop produced in the advanced Schottky TTL (ASSL) series. The SN74F74DR is a dual-input positive-edge-triggered flip-flop that features falling edge-triggered toggle flip-flop capability. This device features strict TTL-like output levels and is compatible with advanced transistor-transistor logic (TTL) systems. It is constructed with complementary Schottky-clamped transistors for high-speed operation. The SN74F74DR has two edge-triggered D-type flip-flops with complementary outputs for use in shifting and storage applications. Each flip-flop utilizes a separate clock input (CP1 and CP2) and reset (R1 and R2) inputs to control when data is written into the flip-flops. The outputs (Q1 and Q2) of the SN74F74DR are normally high level when the flip-flops are reset. When the clock inputs receive a positive going transition, the data present at the D inputs at that time is transferred to the outputs.
