The TL494CDR is a pulse-width modulation (PWM) control circuit manufactured by Texas Instruments. It is designed to produce a pulse-width-modulated output waveform with minimal external components. It features an on-chip high gain operational amplifier, fixed off-time multivibrator, under voltage lockout, temperature shutdown, and other features. The device also includes a dual-output Darlington driver, which is capable of providing moderate current outputs with a range of peak currents to 15 A. The TL494CDR operates with a wide supply voltage range of 4.5V to 40V and is suitable for a variety of power control applications. It can be used in off-line and DC to DC converter control, reversible motor control, lamp and display dimming, and more.
