The Texas Instruments TPS5450DDAR is a 5A buck switching regulator IC with a positive adjustable 1.221V 1 output. It offers a wide range of features that make it suitable for many voltage-regulator applications. It has an 8-PowerSOIC package style with a 0.154" (3.90mm) width, and offers a high efficiency with low noise in a tiny size. It provides flexibility in design with its external components such as the enable pin, feedback pin, and sense pins. This buck switching regulator IC has an integrated power switch and internal power MOSFET for improved efficiency and current-limit protection. It has a wide input voltage range from 4.5V to 36V, adjustable output voltage, low quiescent current, and low noise. It also has short-circuit protection as well as thermal shutdown to protect the device from overloading or overheating. It has robust fault protection and reliable operation over temperature ranges from -40°C to 125°C.
