The TPS54821RHLR with Texas Instruments Voltage Regulators - Switching Regulators 4.5-18Vin,8A Sync St Down SWIFT Converter is a 4.5 to 18 Volt input, 8 amp synchronous step-down switching regulator. It is manufactured by Texas Instruments and is designed for use in high efficiency applications. It features a Synchronous, Step-Down architecture featuring synchronous rectification to optimize conversion efficiency up to 94%. It also features an adjustable switching frequency up to 2 MHz allowing small external components. Additional features include a mode selection of PWM or Continuous Conduction Mode and power-good output voltage monitor. The device also includes thermal protection and overcurrent protection as well as short-circuit protection. It is available in a VQFN-56 package and the package size is 3.0 mm x 3.0 mm x 0.8 mm.
