The UC3525AN is a Switching Controllers Regulating PWM manufactured and sold by Texas Instruments. It is a monolithic device designed to make controlling high power off-line switching applications easier and more efficient. The UC3525AN features a Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) Controller, Voltage-Sense Comparator, Error Amplifier, and an Output Stage. The PWM Controller has integrated Slope Compensation and provides frequency jittering for improved EMI performance. The Error Amplifier provides high open loop voltage gain with the ability to operate under voltage loop applications. It also features a variable speed forced-oscillation ramp generator, variable current limit circuit, variable dead-time, over-temperature protection, and an under/over-voltage lockout feature. The Output Stage provides 500mA of continuous current drive capability and fast output rise/fall times. Additionally, it has a built-in temperature sensing feature that allows the device to shut off when a threshold is crossed. This makes it ideal for applications such as motor control, DC-DC/AC-DC converters, active power factor correction, and lighting dimming.
