The 12JQ6 is a 12-pin small signal beam power pentode that was manufactured in the United States by Raytheon, primarily for use as an audio amplifier. This tube was used in many different applications in the 1950s, 1960s and later, including amplifiers, modulators, oscilloscopes and other applications. The 12JQ6 has a standard 9-pin base, with three additional pins for added connections. It has a maximum plate voltage of 300 volts, a maximum plate dissipation of 6 watts, and a maximum grid voltage of -2 volts. It is noted for its heavy and tight bass response, making it an excellent choice for bass and rhythm guitar amplification.
