1. Anode: also known as the cathode, this is the part of the tube that collects electrons from the heated filament and accelerates them towards the plate. The anode is usually made from aluminum or copper and is connected to the heater power supply. 2. Cathode: also known as the anode, this is the part of the tube that emits electrons when heated by the filament. The cathode is usually made from tungsten or oxide-coated tungsten. 3. Grid: the grid is a thin metal or wire mesh that modulates the flow of electrons between the cathode and the anode. It is controlled by the voltage on the control grid which adjusts the plate current. 4. Plate: this is the positive terminal of the 5J6 tube where the electrons collect. The plate is usually made from an alloy material and is connected to the plate power supply. 5. Baffle: this is a metal plate that is used to shield the tube from external interference. It helps to reduce noise and electromagnetic interference.
