The multimeter has an LCD display with 2000 count and a backlit feature for improved visibility in darkness. It is used to measure voltage, current, resistance, temperature, frequency, and capacitance. The UT131A has 6 functions (Voltage, Current, Resistance, Capacitance, Frequency, and Temperature) along with Diode test and Continuity test. It also features battery testing ability and low battery indicator. The maximum display reading is 1999 with overload protection and a auto-ranging feature. It is powered by a 9V battery and has a durable plastic housing. The UT131A also features a data hold function to freeze the display reading for later use.
