CAN Calibration Protocol
The Vector CAN Calibration Protocol (VCCP) 848PWE part is a specific protocol for programming and configuring various controller units within the CANbus. It is a specialized extension of the CAN 2.0B frame format, which supports communication between two or more CAN nodes. This protocol allows CAN bus users to access different electronic control units (ECU) on the network and program them with different parameters. It is widely used in automotive projects and also used in other sectors such as robotics, avionics, farming, and industrial automation. It also includes commands such as Read/Write, Permit/Deny, Physically Identify, and Receive/Send FS. With this protocol, users can control multiple ECUs on the CAN bus, set up configurable parameters, and read/write data to and from nodes on the CANbus.
