It is a transceiver IC which includes an onboard amplifier, antenna and filter, allowing it to transmit and receive radio waves. The device is designed for RF communication systems with a frequency range of 2.4 GHz. The IC has a surface mount package (SSOP-16) with reduced pitch that helps reduce the overall size of the product. It is also ROHS compliant, meaning it is free from any hazardous materials.
