NL05JTR12 is part of the Viking S-3 submersible robot vehicle. It is an integral part of the robot, which is designed to inspect, survey, and collect samples from underwater environments. The NL05JTR12 platform enables the robot to perform underwater navigation and positioning tasks, in addition to other survey operations. The Viking S-3 includes a range of sensing and control systems, such as sonar, optical video cameras, and a wireless modem for remote control and communication. The NL05JTR12 provides a base and support for the majority of these systems, as well as allowing for the transportation of collected data and samples back to the surface.
