They are coated with a layer of ochre coloured epoxy, operating temperature range: which provides electrical, mechanical and climatic RMS 14 to 680 V protection. The encapsulation is resistant to all cleaning solvents in accordance with IEC 60068-2-45. DC 18 to 895 V MOUNTING Maximum non-repetitive transient The varistors are suitable for processing on automatic 100 to 6500 A current I (8 x 20 s) NRP insertion and cutting and bending equipment. Based on Varistors with flanged leads provide better positioning on IEC 61051-1 printed-circuit boards (PCB) and more accurate control over Detailed specification IEC 61051-2 component height. This is important for hand mounting and IEC 61051-2-2 automatic insertion techniques see outlines of flanged leads drawing. The varistors are available in a number of packaging options: MARKING Bulk The varistors are marked with the following information: On tape on reel Maximum continuous RMS voltage On tape in ammopack Series number (592, 593, 594, 595 or 596) The basic ordering code for each option is given in tables Manufacturers logo mutitled Varistors on Tape on Reel, Varistors on Tape in Date of manufacture (YYWW) Ammopack and Varistors in Bulk. To complete the catalog INFLAMMABILITY number and to determine the required operating parameters, The varistors are non-flammable. see Electrical Data and Ordering Information table.
