The TSOP31238 is an Infrared Receiver Module made by Vishay. It is used in remote control applications such as TVs and DVD players. It is a very small device measuring only 8mm x 8mm x 5mm and can operate at a maximum ambient temperature of 85°C. It is an active low output device with an operating voltage of 3V to 5.5V and a frequency range of 30KHz to 56KHz. It also features high sensitivity and wide viewing angles which make it a good choice for many applications.
