CM8-A256 is a video encoder manufactured by Visual Communications Company. It is designed to encode video signals and provide a variety of analog and digital video outputs. It includes support for MPEG-2, MPEG-4, and H.264 compression formats, allowing it to compress and convert video from standard analog formats such as composite and component. The encoder can also be used to generate multiple signal outputs such as HDMI, VGA, and DVI. The encoder has eight encoder channels enabling it to encode eight independent video streams.
